Link Acquisition

Hey all,
I am having a big problem building links for my real estate/finance site. I can't seem to find any quality links.
Anyone have any suggestions? Other than the obvious "go through the internet and email webmasters for links and post comments on do-follow blogs."

Check-out some webmasters who trade links on forums just like the one in this thread: http://www.v7n.com/forums/links/

You can instantly send them messages or just reply to their threads...

The "quality links" are hard to find some. I start to write some articles now and it should help some.

Truth be told, I have a higher-PR site, so I think I need higher-PR inbound links. The not-such-great quality links that I've acquired so far haven't done anything for me.

My suggestions:
1. Directory submission
2. Article submission
3. Create profile on Squidoo
4. Use social bookmarking and networking sites like Digg, Del.icio.us, LinkedIn etc.
5. Try to get links from .org and .edu sites (even if it needs giving them a reciprocal)
6. Submit press releases

you can still build and create links for your site by doing the above suggestions or try link from relevant site which is not that hard!

"Quality" links doesn't always fall on these techniques. I think that what bubblegumpinq mean on quality links is that it is in the same niche with a high PR and good indexing in SEs.

It's hard to find such links nowadays.

So far it doesn't take any effect yet. In time maybe yes. You'll never know.

Yes I agree with that, one thing I can suggest you is to have a 3-way link exchange. Anyway, I also have a blog related to real estate but only has PR1. If you want to have a 3 way link then PM me.
