Uhm, OK sorry my english isnt the best... doing my best to make you understeand...
OK we want to start our own affiliate program. So far I see many times links like www.example.com/affiliate.asp?partner=456 is used. We would prefer to pass the partner parameter somehow so we can also profit from a backlink (just www.example.com) but also could see which of our partners sent the potentional buyer...

Hope this time its more clear... One more time sorry for difficulties understeanding me

I know what you mean Luke.....

It's hard....

All I know that is that it IS possible to get it listed if it's on a page with high enough PR.... Like a 6 or 7 should do it.... Other wise Google won't take it..... especially if it's got the woirds AFFILIATE or PARTNER and ID=

Gbot hates that....

OK thanx for replying me

Anyway.. I did some research, so if anybody is interested I will share it here with you:
Most affiliate programs are cookie based so that could/should mean that if a small server side code is included on main page it should take a affiliate link as a back link also.
Than I found mentioned that parameters can be passed through top.name which could be usefull if you include some sotr of ID into this parameter.
What cant be used are dynamic pages with affiliate.asp?id=456 or something like that.

The last thing is my own not knowing if functional idea.
A smal <FORM> with a submit hyperlink through java script. What I dont know if a forms ACTION=www.something.com could and would be taken as a backlink.

Thats all folks... Good night

PS: Clasione thank you one more time for your time and replying me.[/b]

most affiliates will not want to do hard and crazy work to make the affiliate url look static because that does not benefit them any.

most affiliate urls pass a variable in the link url.

most affiliates will not like tracking http referer values or using java since either way may not parse the variable.
