Talking Longtail keywords or short???

I really want to know how is the best way of choosing the right keywords. For example, if I have some webpage that is about many different cheap things, would I list my keywords as "cheap paper, cheap pencils, cheap erasers, cheap paperclips, etc...." or would I rather list the keywords as "cheap, paper, pencils, erasers, paperclips, etc....."??? It takes up more space to type out cheap everytime but these are the keywords people would be typing in every time. And if I would type "cheap" everytime would the search engines consider this as spam since I keep using the word over and over? Thanks!

i think instead of listing all the stuff why not make it in general, like cheap school supply..well targeting a long tail keyword is much better than short keywords

Of course I prefer long tail keywords. It's very obvious on my signature links but make sure that it's naturally plotted and not just stuffing keywords.

Hi meshleman3, I suggest you use long tail for it is less competitive like the others said.
using short tail is too broad. hard to target.

Hi,

Use the specific long tail keywords, don't use or add the General term like cheap, best, free. use keyword phrase instead of a single keywords

Thanks

But don't stick in long tail keywords in your whole campaign, ofcourse you need to target short phrases too once you've ranked on longtail keywords.

Use the same word in every keyword is not good try to make a sensible key phrases in a descriptive way.
