Lightbulb Changing php config without access to main frame... .htacess? sub php.ini?

Changing php config without access to main frame... .htacess? sub php.ini?

I need to change the following config:

upload_max_filesize to 30mb
max_input_time to 600
memory_limit to 256mb
post_max_size to 31mb
max_execution_time to 600

While i do not have access to the main frame php.ini file, I was told there may be a way of doing so by using a secondary php.ini for my domain specifically.

Another way to do this is by using .htaccess, but i'm not sure if it can do max_execution_time and i really don't know anything about it.
I prefer secondary php.ini if it's possible

any comment is apprecaited it.
thx

-Hank

Some servers force you to do it in the .htaccess and others force you to do it in php.ini.

The determining factor is whether php is ran as an Apache process or not. Also it depends on whether allow_overide is on or off in the master config file.

Looking at some of the things you want to change I doubt very seriously you are going to be sucessful.

The syntax for the .htaccess file is:
Quote:
php_flag action you want

Edit: I was unable to do some of what you want to do on a shared sever on my local machine where I could write to the master file. There are some hard limits that you can not overcome.
