How To Make A Video Clickable To Another URL

I sure hope this is the right place for this question. If not, I apologize and hope a mod will move it.

Anyway, I have videos that I have embedded into a website and I would like to find out if and how I can modify the code so that after it starts to play and the visitor clicks on the video again it opens to a different URL instead of pausing the video.

The code I am using is:
HTML Code:
<embed width="700" height="450" flashvars="image=path to website images/18.jpg&stretching=exactfit&width=700&height=450&fi le=path to video file&repeat=list&link=http%3A%2F%2FURL To Open When Clicked&linktarget=_blank&displayclick=link&autost art=false" src="path to flash player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" quality="high" allowfullscreen="true"/></embed>
The way it works now, I click on the image to start the video. The video plays,but when I click on it a second time, it just pauses the video.

I am trying to figure out how to get it to go to another url when the video is clicked on a second time.

I hope this makes sense.

I have done a search on Google, but can't find anything on it and I am far from an expert on this subject so any help would be appreciated. A guide as to how to do this would be great.

Thanks in advance

Add a image to the top of the video, and then add css code: <span style="padding-top:100px;"> Untill the image cover the video.

Have a great day!

Make a link href="newrurl" - width and height >= video's width and height. Put this link over the embed tag using CSS. Maybe with position: absolute.

This can be done with javascript too. Add event listener for clicking the <embed> tag and use:

window.location = "newrurl";

Since you want the video to change functionality on click (first click plays, second click opens window), jQuery or Javscript would be your best bet. jQuery has an onclick function:
$( "embed" ).click(function() { ... });
