How accurate is Website outlook?

The website websiteoutlook.com gives estimates on amounts of revenue made by certain websites. How accurate do you think they're figures are?

As we know, website outlook is not a kind of system where your site is been reviewed and estimated by real human beings and it can never be accurate. they just use some calculations like Google page rank and Alexa Rank of a site to estimate its worth and how many visitors it gets daily. They have never been close to accurate with the statistics they show for my sites.

When you say not close to accurate does it tend to over estimate or under estimate the value of your website? Or does it tend to go both ways?

I couldnt imagine what it could go off from.. only thing I can think of is possibly page rank, number of inbound links, age of domain.. maybe affiliate links incorporated into the site. I But I would never trust a site like that. I choose to just ignore it and move on. Unless you have someone interested in buying it then its USELESS.

It does both actually. The 2 stat's that websiteoutlook can not give 100% correctly is Daily Pageview and Daily Ads Revenue. Only the website owner could give the correct answer on these 2 stat's.

I think it's fun to look up websites stat's on these types of website value tools but i never believe them. If i wanted to know a domain value of my site, i'd pay a expert to do this then i'd up the price a little according to how much revenue my site makes each month since i'm only one that knows the real answer to that question.

Edit: Also if you have a custom design on your site, websiteoutlook would not know this. That can tack on little more money to your websites worth.

all online automated estimates are based on set parameters, so its never accurate, and far from it.

generally a website is worth around 12 - 36 months revenue, depeding on work involved to maintain the site and revenue, + some good will

I would say its not very accurate, I have a domain just registered, it estimated my domain to be around $400+ with no content inside. It really depends on how you value your website based on the hardwork, revenue, potential, etc..

That website does not take into consideration the revenue your website generates. For example, if you are using adsense, or selling banner/text ads. How does that website know the exact revenue your site makes each month? Traffic rankings, PR...etc is another factor in determining your websites value.

I am starting to ramble and not making sense. Lack of coffee intake.

These types of websites is just for fun.

No One Online Tools gives you the perfect value of your sites if the sites owner gives you the whole earnings then you may able to know the real value of the site. and sites buyer may know the value after 2 to 3 months of sites buying.
