Gee, you log out, go and watch it, then come back and tell me what it was. You didn't watch it right when you claim you did.

I actually did C, I watched it before I responded to the post about you being attacked in a bathroom.

That cruise **** stuff is really crazy.

All I know is that if I ever go on a cruise with a loved one we will both have to go to the bathrooms and everywhere else together to make sure no one can get the upperhand on either of us.

I think it's ridiculous how that company doesnt give a ****. They should be shut down IMO.

I just read the links you provided C, most of this was info I already knew about with the exception of the new incident. I find it kind of freaky that the new woman missing and the honeymoon guy, both parents owned their own business and appear to have had a 'good' business 'well off'

It is odd, it definitely needs to be investigated, possible new rules need to be drawn up, but drawing to the conclusion from a few news reports the company needs to be shut down is bit of a jump w/o knowing the facts. If it is determined that there is gross negligence and breaking of laws then yes the company should be fined and possibly shut down, it however is hard to know all the facts from a few news stories.

In any event it is a problem, something does need to be done about it. Investigation and looking at how the cruise lines 'police themselves' as your one link states is the best route, and only route that really can be followed. Just shutting them down would only leave the doors open for another cruise line to have the same problems, in effect running from the problem instead of taking it head on and finding the cause and ways to prevent it.

I feel horrible for all of those missing, their families and friends, for those abused be is sexually, financially, emotionally or physically. However I think it would be a huge error to run from the problem and simply shut them down, do not let their suffering be in vain, investigate and find a solution to stop it from happening ever again, no matter the cruise line.

I do care about the problem C, I have followed it in the past, I am not just randomly stating 'oh that's terrible' without thinking it through, I am not just agreeing with you to agree with you. I simply was tired, and had other things on my mind to get into something to deep. I was following, I just didn't have it in me to get to serious at the time.

--edit

while the story does not state they police themselves, it kind of gives the impression of that, plus being they are supposed to follow the rules depending on where they are docked. Really appears it should be a universal system of rules and laws set up for the industry, why can't they have something set a bit more in stone from the country they originate from w/o breaking the laws of another country in most cases. If our law makers put their heads together for a second instead of worrying about 'terorr and Iraq' I'm sure something could be done.

lol, Brian you are a 'character' to say the least, but at least it's a good thing..

A cruise might be nice, on the right ship, with the right person, it could be great. I've never been on one so I'm not really sure, but video I have watched in movies and stuff it looks like it could be awesome. I just think of water sickness type of thing making me think I might not like it, or small tiny cabins making it not my thing.

V7N cruise?
