Yes, but as I already pointed out, these are only SEOmoz rankings, and they may or may not coincide with what Google or another SE ranks a site's authority as.

I really wouldn't care about the PR when I'm making connections. It would be better if you built links by first building relationships with the person who runs the site where you want your links to be on. The PR might suggest that a site is authoritative, but that's not always the case. You still have to check if the quality of the content is really that good, because there are some high PR sites that look like they forced their way to get the high PRs.

Its not just Page Rank but also the Authority matters.

In my opinion, I'll go with 5 links from PR4 websites. That will increase the chances of making your own page to PR4 as well.

Ok so getting up a place on the 5th page of a serch engine won't bring more visitors. the real point is getting as many as possible from all place that potentially might bring more visitors. The real purpose of a site is being visited. Ofcourse backlinks will help it climb a bit too but there are people that make money with blogs and sites not even registered to search engines.

I prefer to mix, not just consist of only one such ranking of PR 5. I'll mix it up with another PR, as PR 4, PR 3, even PR 0. It would seems natural to Google. Thank you very much.

Then I would ask you the same question I asked someone else earlier in the thread who made the same suggestion, i.e. how do you measure the Authority?
