Photoshop and Notepad++ is what I've been using for quite some time. They both have served me well.

I would use Dreamweaver if I had the cash and could justify the perks are worth the money. I haven't used it in many, many years and back then, it's WYSIWYG editor kept messing with my code and making things worse. I assume it's gotten better in that aspect.

I use multiple tools including:
Dreamweaver - I mainly hand code but like storing snippets and other shortcuts in Dreamweaver especially when working with databases.
Photoshop - I primarily use it to design elements of the page. We are designing more responsive sites so making static mock ups are a thing of the past.
Filezilla - obvious reasons but it is super easy to use.
Illustrator - For my vector elements ~ IL allows me to be creative, I feel like a kid with a new pack of crayons
Premiere Pro - For any site videos, I like the options you have.
WEB CEO - I do a lot of research before I ever get started with the website design. This handy tool is one place where I can research a niche, see how competitive keywords are, find competition, see what they are doing and more.

Well I normally start off creating a rough design in Photoshop. I then decided what areas need to be chopped up and saved then I start the coding process in either Dreamweaver or notepadd++.

Other software I have looked at and tested purly as a drag and drop builder is serif.

I am currently using Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 and Photoshop CS5. These applications are very powerful in creating stunning web design plus the features are very powerful. no wonder, why it is the best software in web designing.

I use Dreamweaver because for the following reason:
1.It has code suggestion feature
2.highlight the code-it helps in quickly scan the code.
3.Its file manager system etc.

Lately most of our work has been done with Drupal sites, what does that mean to what development software I use? Not much, same software, I have used Dreamweaver and Photoshop for years, on CS6 now, do the monthly deal and get access to all the software for a low fee, since I had a previous version it comes pretty cheap in comparison.

Why do I use Dreamweaver and not some other package? I am more comfortable with it since I have used it for so long to be honest, it is more of an auto response than a need, am I freaking out and unable to continue without it if I happen to be on another computer somewhere? Of course not, can use notepad, notepad++ or whatever happens to be handiest at the moment. I have been using NetBeans 7.2 recently, have it set up to make it really simple to work on Drupal Modules, could do the same thing really with DreamWeaver tried out NetBeans just because of the change is all...

Notepad++, it is easy to use and it tells you where the tag is ended. PhotoShop, has been around for a very long time and it's again easy to use. Putty, to connect to server and we use it just because its a light file and fast. IE, Chrome, Opera, Safari, FireFox are must, just to know the fact that your site shows up fine everywhere. FileZilla, to transfer files. Then third party websites to check your sites error such as w3 validator or speed test websites. Then pray for traffic

Not true, ask REAL professionals...

Text editors like Notepad++, TextMate, Sublime Text, Coda, ... those programs are used by pro's to code.

I have never used DreamWeaver.

Notepad++ is the only text editor I am using. Ask real professionals!
