Yahoo Bing Network Makes Changes To How Bids Work

Some changes to know about.

Quote:
Microsoft announced that it is making some changes to the way incremental bids work in BIng Ads. According to the company, the changes will give advertisers more options to control how bidding on keywords works to maximize return-on-investment, as well as ensure the accuracy of info from imported AdWords campaigns.

Thanks for sharing.

This surely gives more control over campaigns, but they should start working on the bigger problem with their network: Quality.

I've tried BING in the past and even after ensuring that I placed only very relevant keywords, the traffic never converts.

I agree with you about the quality of there ad's. I used there network when it was out in beta for almost 2 months but I had better success with adsense so I switched back.

Also there ad styles just didn't make me happy. I am still following this network for new changes and maybe someday using them again. With Yahoo buying up companies, I am hoping sometime in the future the ad's will get better or even the techonology that they use in there ad network.

They have a long way to catch up to Google Adsense and Google Adwords for sure.

I've had better success using Google Adwords when wanting to target my ad's. I don't trust my money with the Yahoo Bing network just yet.

I'm pretty sure Marissa Mayer understands this (specially since she has already worked Google) and its a top priority for her.
  • Yahoo needs more users on its SE ( and improve the UI further - they are working on it too)
  • They need a better ranking algorithm

Once they have the users, improving the network after that, would be a piece of cake, IMO.

I wonder why their Publisher network is still US only.

The US only may change eventually. I think it's like a beta test period or something for US only.
