I have an english blog and want to make another blog for different language. For writing same content on that. So my Question is make subdomain eg. hindi.example.com or buy an another domain. Which is good for SEO?

Thanks for reply, I want to tell you that I'm not going to translate whole content into other language. but want write the topic by adding or removing some other words. Is this bad for SEO?

After reading the opening post, this is your best answer? I have a feeling you are just posting rubbish on here.

Can you explain why in details this is the best way to do things? You have to be able to backup your response anytime on this forum so we know if you are an expert in SEO or blowing smoke up our... with poor advice

Buying an another domain can be one option. But why not thinking of a directory instead of sub-domain.

Having a fresh and new domain is best instead of taking sub domain name. Write various article and give link to new blog post which are related, off to the topic. Here you can build quality link for SEO too

A sub-domain is good if you want to start a forum attached to your main site but stick to the root domain for your main website. A high traffic blog I am subscribed to and help out on there support forum has there forum on a sub-domain and the forum posts are starting to get ranked in Google but the forum has a ton of traffic from the blog traffic.

The only time I would use a sub-domain is for starting a forum that's related to my main domain.

Is your current blog name in English or is it a made up word like ajax, acme, widget etc? Would the current domain name make sense to someone that reads a different language?

If it's not a made up word or a phrase the other language would recognize I would go with a new domain. Preferably one that is a translation of the original domain.

Like suggested by many, buying a new domain would be considered good in terms of SEO. Even if you consider using same domain with sub-domain, I would recommend you something better. That is to use sub-folder ( I amn't sure if this is the proper technical term for what I am trying to suggest).

For example: Instead of "forum.yoursite.com or hindi.yoursite.com" you can choose to have your new sub-site on address "yoursite.com/forum/ or yoursite.com/hindi/" which will perform much better in terms of SEO than having separate subdomain.

A subdomain acknowledges that the forum is a part of your site. The subdomain indiciates that there is a seperate responsibility for content related density.
