Static or dynamic, Which would be prefrable?

I would like to ask, Which type of site, either Static or dynamic, Would be search engine friendly, If I am talking in terms of article submission sites? If any one is having any opinion in this regard, Please let me know.

Thanks a lot in advance.

It doesn't matter whether the site is static or dynamic. What matters is how it is coded.

But you should know that seeing you have a Web Development/SEO firm in your signature.

It is the result that counts. Make sure in a dynamic system to have different URLs and titles and that your code has no errors.

Static web pages are cheaper and easier to design. They are usually designed by the Web Design softwares. They are the fixed websites just for giving informations. They are not interactive.Only the developers can modify them.

Dynamic web pages are user interactive. They need the complex coding languages. The examples can be CMS web pages. They are open source. So, it can be modified bu the user also depending on their requirement. So, they are more popular.

How does this answer the question of which is more search engine friendly, static or dynamic?

And BTW: Joe Average can edit either of these if they want to learn how to do it. Especially a static site.

It does not matter if it is static or dynamic. There is no difference in them from the search engines point of view.

If you use a dynamic site make sure that you code the URLs properly, it can make a lot of difference in having http://www.domainname.com/article-title/, which is far better than http://www.domainname.com/category-12321/3213213.....

It doesn't matter if the page was static or dynamic.

The only thing that matters is how well you optimize that page for search engines,

If you don't need dynamic a static website is faster to load ,therefore better .

Statics are better, they will be always faster .... but ... are you ready to pay that 'small' asset with many many hours on a chair updating your content?? Static sites are almost only applicable for very small sites (-10 pages), to try to handler a bigger site with static content is a suicide.

Now I'm going to have to beg to differ on this comment. It depends on what kind of site you are building.

Includes (PHP or SSI) can be used for the typical parts of the pages. Or if you have EW or DW you could use a DWT. EW has it's own design time includes system you can use also. With these you can build any size site you want. A CMS or ecommerce software package uses templates, fetches info from a database through coding and inserts (includes) the info into the pages. So they don't work much different overall. There are many ways to solve a problem. It also depends on the person's budget and how much they want to understand about running their site.

If you site is a content site or an ecommerce site where the products only have to show up once (opposed to an ecommerce site where products could be in multiple categories) you can use a template with includes or a DWT and enter the actual content yourself. A WYSWYG editor can be incorporated into the pages that doesn't use a database if you do not want to learn how to code.

This is much easier for the average website owner to backup and manage than getting them to backup a database, download it and all the files required to run the site for safe keeping. Plus they don't have to deal with duplicate content and funky urls that dynamic sites have.

It is also much easier to have unique titles and meta data for each page than the typical CMS/ecommerce software site without special programming or adding the burden on resources like adding a plugin to get this.

my personal experience suggests that dynamic sites are better. all of my wordpress blogs are dynamic and they get the google love accordingly. i have noticed static sites can get ranked but it takes some time to do the same.

the submission of the content for the promotion areas does not make any difference in the result but the URL has to be static with the respective pages which can affect the working and the promotion of the site
