Malware Bytes

Malwarebytes

Personaly I think that this is a great piece of software and one that all Windows users should have installed.

I have seen this util clean up systems with malware that has slipped past some of the big boys and best of all, the free copy is pretty damn good also

Definitely worth a go guys..

Download the free version and try if it could capture some malware from my PC.

Thanks for sharing,

I tried this once. Found it to be a memory hog. Is it still a memory hog?

If not, I'll advise someone who asked me just the other day about this.

I use this all the time to disinfect computers of my clients.

Often, they are already using some antivirus and/or antispyware product that wasn't effective in stopping the infection.

I don't see the free version being a resource hog as it only runs when you tell it to and not constantly.

Granted, you can't really use your pc when it is running as it slows everything down but then that really is no biggie if you set it to run once and walk away for about 25 or so mins as it does it's job

I have a paid for antivirus software installed but I would still run this baby at least once every 6 weeks or so, just as a check up.

Just tried it last night, took a long time to scan only 150,000 objects on a dual core.

That, and it told me I had to reboot to remove registry keys relating to windows security center. >_>

Malwarebytes is easy to use simple & effective anti-malware application. This is considered as next step in the detection & removal of malware.

I have recommended Malware Bytes to many of my customers and friends. I have seen it save some computers from those big counterfeit anti-virus apps that spread their tentacles throughout Windows.

I have definitely found the same thing to be true several times over.
