Just got an email that made me feel old

I am on a mailing list for Makers Mark Distillery. I just got an email mentioning Superbowl 46. Darn, I recall the initial Superbowl, that would be Superbowl I. Seems like yesterday.

That sure made me feel old.

They were promoting a fairly new product in the Maker's line called Maker's 46. It was smooth and tasty but I think I prefer the original.

Hahaha you made me laugh on this. It also reminded me of somewhat the same situation before. When I as with a neighbor watching a basketball game. I still remember when that guy is just a kid watching on their backyard & now that kid is now playing basketball with me lol.

When my kids were in grade school. my son had a lesson on dinosaurs. He came home with a question: "Dad, were the dinosaurs really that big?"

No being one to pass up such an opportunity, I replied: "They sure were - and before we invented fire, we had to eat our dinosaur meat raw."

He was probably in high school before he realized that I had been pulling his leg.

Very very good expression here. I have one friend, same in age with me (30). Now he lives abroad. When I meet him once in a year, he remembers so old stories of our childhood, many innocent feelings, and new changing world, and the loss of those lovable days...... that I start to imagine that we both are very old.. so old that our songs of life have been sung...
when I read this thread, I remembered him.

Time flies and life is short if you think of it. My motto is being happy and enjoying every moment. Creating good memories with good people will bring a lot of joy.
