Bounce rate refers to the number of user visited your website and leave it without further exploring other pages of your sites. Unlike bounce rate, exit rate- user visited your main page, stay for some time and explore website's inner pages and then leave it from a particular page i.e create more session. You can analyse these element in Google Analytics.

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who visited on a page and immediately left. And exit page is a web page that readers leave your website from.

This article, Analytics Unlocked: Exit, Bounce Rates, and Your Content, explains it well:

Quote:
Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who leave without checking out other pages in your website.

Exit rate is the percentage of visitors who leave a page after viewing it.
A high exit rate isn't always bad, but a high bounce rate is horrible for your site.

Personally, I think bounce rate isn't much of a factor in SEO, but it tells you of a more pressing concern: your website isn't able to connect well with users. You'll need a more effective content strategy.

Bounce rate is calculated by considering the number of people who visits only a single page(landing page) in your site. An exit rate on the other hand is the number of people exit from your site and it can be a one page visit or many visits. Correct me if im wrong please.

The bounce rate determines how long people are staying on your website. For example if your bounce rat is 40% then your website is good at keeping people but if your bounce rate is say 90% then that means people are leaving your website as soon as they leave.

I do believe bounce rate has something to do with SEO and it can give you a good idea of what the user experience of your website is like which is important for SEO and your business in general.

Google likes quality websites that people want to spend time on. An exit page is the page that people left your website on I believe. Hope this helps!

Bounce rate refers to the percentage of visitors that visit a page on your website and don't visit any other pages. Exit rate refers to those people who have left the page but would have previously visited other pages.
