Sorry for any confusion - yes, progressives. I'm actually using progressive transitionals. But, in the car, they don't darken up much at all, as they need to be in direct daylight to darken.

You are right, in that the progressives don't have an lines, as they dynamically change the distance viewing depending on which part of the lens you are looking out through. The top of the lens is "infinity", and the bottom is for close up or reading, with a gradual change from top to bottom

Hmmm. My son tells me the larger "rounder" lenses are in style. I'm not a fan of them, but when I actually took a look around, he's right.

Probably depends on the market. I wore the oval teardrop for years with no problems.

Markets good. Weather wet.

I have the rectangular lenses. I don't think I'd look good in the big round ones. Getting fitted today for the sunglasses. It'll be about a week, but I really need them.

Taking junior for a golf instructional lesson tomorrow. He's the "strong like bull" son who tries to muscle it down the fairway. It doesn't work that way, and he'll find out soon enough.

I can't drive without them.

No storms just more rain.

Broke down and installed some high output LED fixtures in the garage to replace some CFL bulbs which I was tired of waiting for the warmup. I can actually see what a mess it is now.

We had pot lights installed on part of the main floor. They're great in the kitchen, but the boss also wanted them in the living room area too. Both rooms have dimmers, but when she turns the living room lights on, they're pretty bright.

I like things darker. It's harder to tell when it's time for a cleanup.

We have them in the kitchen and a couple of other general areas. I changed all those to LED a few years back as the bulbs were using 65W each. My wife still has not mastered the concept that all 6 cans lights (54w total) in the kitchen use less watts than the single bulb (60w) in the base of the microwave.

We got a lot steady rain last night.

Yes, the bulbs we use throw off very little heat, and use very little power. I just don't like them on in the living room. The boss does, when she reads. I put on a baseball cap to block the light. She isn't amused.

We rarely use the ones in the Family room for normal use and I tend to agree with you.

The grass is going to be a challenge to mow even when it stops raining.

I was lucky to get the grass mowed on Friday as we had a few nice days the end of last week, before - yep, more rain today.

Junior's convocation ceremony is tomorrow, looks like a nice day ahead. A lot of driving as he attended a university about 100km away.

He has to be there by 8:30am, so we're leaving at 6:45am (that's right 6:45am).

With traffic and potential accidents are you sure 6:45 is early enough?

I may buy a goat for this yard. It might get dry enough to mow tomorrow.

It's about an hour 15 minutes normally taking our toll highway. I don't exactly know what that cities local traffic is like that time of the morning. I did check google traffic maps last week early in the morning, and it didn't look bad at all.

There are some places that do that sort of thing. I can't remember the article, but they allowed a flock (if that's the right term) of goats to eat/trim grassy areas. I don't know who picks up the goat poop though. Maybe fertilizer?

That's more of a margin than I mentally calculated and good highways make for better odds. O just tend to suffer from OCD about being on time.

Edged the street sidewalks; easiest done in the front yard clay when it is wet and it sure was wet. . The little Mantis does a decent job but shakes the crap out of one.

We'll see. If I can get everyone up in time, we might leave early.

The trouble is, the Raptors/Warriors game starts at 9pm EST and will end about 11:30. Not great, when you have to get up at 5:30am.

It was a great day. Arrived in plenty of time to get good parking, and great seats in the convocation hall.

Too bad about the Raptors loss. I have no idea why they set up for a 3-pointer (and missed) at the end of the game with seconds remaining, when they could have gone in for a layup and won the game by a point. Oh well, we'll see what happens next game.

Does your son feel ready to tackle the world now?

As for the game one was expected so that went the other way; at least that would be my guess.

How late does your pro BB season go?

He's already working, a little disillusioned thinking he'd get a higher starting salary, but he's got a good start in a company with potential.

The Warriors are from Oakland, California and Raptors from Toronto. This coming game (in Cali), is game 6 of a possible 7 for the NBA championship. Raptors are up 3-2 and, hopefully, can clinch the title on Thursday.

This is the first NBA final the Raptors have been in since it's inception 25 years ago. So, the city is more than just a little hyped up.

I fully understand that. Since I don't have a dog in the fight I'll root for your Raptors. I like Canada a lot more than I like California.

I'm sure you have but tell your son to hang in there; cream always rises to the top.

I didn't watch who Lebron and crew were playing this year, so I can't imagine how they aren't in the finals.

Watching Lebron and crew play against the Raptors last year, it's like it almost wasn't fair. He could hit baskets from just about anywhere whenever he wanted to.

This year, our Raptors are playing against a team with I think (3 all-stars starters - less JD who didn't play this round until last game and left with an injury).

in 2018, the Warriors had 4 starters in the All Star game, we had two. This year I think they had 3 starters, we had two - Leonard (acquired this year) and Lowry, but the rest of the TO team are pretty good in their own right.

Thanks for your support. It would be really nice to see the Raptors win. Our hockey team hasn't won the cup since 1967. But, they've got a chance this coming year, and if not, next year for sure.

Now don't go and get greedy.

More wet weather on the way. This is a bad cycle we are in. I bet the farmers are having a tough time planting again.
