Question How much is my website worth?

Hello Guys!

I just wondering how much will my website sell for? The website has been live for over 4 years, it is PR3 it has over 280000+ backlinks. Daily traffic is around 14000 visitors a day, revenue around $150,000 per Year.

I have contacted a website broker and he told me they can sell the business for $350,000

What do you think about this offer?

Sounds a little fishy, but I'll bite.

I'll assume since you are flaunting the $150k, number, I'll assume you own a home or live in an apartment/condo - something. If you wanted to get the place painted, you would want to get a quote to get the work done, right?

So, do you stop at getting just one quote? No - the standard is at least 3 estimates and then, you can base the choice on reputation, credibility, cost and experience in the industry.

It depends on demand from the buyer, you may have a lot of visitors, but it won't get sold if no buyer is interested to take over your site. I saw a site from domain marketplace that sell at 10x its monthly revenue, but no buyer still.

So, if your annual revenue is real, post it on different domain marketplaces and pitch your domain with your traffic and revenue report. In short, the value depends on how well you can pitch, as well as how good your website is (eg: domain name, quality of traffic, content, and quality of backlinks).

It's hard to estimate without knowing the actual domain and its site metrics, for instance, the quality of the 280k+ backlinks and traffic.

But price at 1-3x of your annual revenue should be ok if you can find an interested buyer.

$350k is on high side.

Do you really make $150k? Well if you really want to sell your website put it on Flippa you can auction it and can get the best price

Normally one offer 10 times the yearly profit of the business. So it's a terrible offer if you make 150k per year. You could just wait two years and you'll make almost the same amount...

My question is, how can you make that much with 14.000 visitors per day?

If I assume a CPC of 0.5$ and a CTR of 0.5%, then you would make about 1000$ per month on one ad with 14.000 daily visitors. That's 12.000$ per year. Quite far from your 150.000$ per year number.
