Which of my domains should I use for my sites?

I'm starting up an informational niche site on a subject which I'm fairly interested in, and I've begun producing content for it, after finding an affiliate program and researching the competition.

I also bought two expired domains which contain the keyword, and now I'm having a bit of trouble choosing between them, so I thought I'd ask here for suggestions.

Without revealing my niche, let's pretend that the site is going to be about cancer, for now. In that case, the domains I've bought are allaboutcancer.com, and canceronlineguide.com. These aren't premium domains, but perfectly usable for an information site. None of the domains have any backlinks to speak of yet, so that won't be a factor.

Of course, I'll be placing a 301-redirect from the non-used domain to the one I'll be using.

What do you think? Does it even matter which domain I choose? After all, this name is going to be the brand name of my site, unless I decide to change the name further down the line.

I believe the first one is more appealing and more easy to remember.

Thank you for the advice. I ended up using allabout*.com, instead of the *onlineguide.com one. I think the other one sounded a bit spammy.

I think, canceronlineguide.com more SEO Friendly if you wish to optimize keywords that related to the "cancer" topic

Important

Domain name matters a lot as it should definitely match-up the content, the keywords etc.

I would also choose the "allaboutcancer.com". I have checked its exact phrase searches using Google keyword tool and I got these results:

about cancer = 1300 global searches/mo
all about cancer = 720 global searches/mo

Whichever keyword you would like to utilize, you surely will get a 1st page position in search engines. If you need help, pls let me know!

I think that you made a great decision.

The name allaboutcancer.com just sounds a lot better and it makes a lot better sense.

the other name would be a lot better if it was onlinecancerguide.com or cancerguideonline.com

Well, maybe this is a little late, as you have already made a decision, but if you have two domains, you could have tried what in advertising is called an A/B test. I mean, setting up both websites with the same content (rel=canonical is useful for those tests), market both equally for, say, a month or two, and then see the results to make a final decision not based just in opinions.

Good Decision. I would have also gone for AllAboutCancer.com.

It makes more sense.

I too think that is the better choice considering the fact that chances are that some people might actually include "about" in their searches.
