Legal... Privacy Statement, TOS, etc.

When would I need a Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions etc. on my website?

Thank you for your quick reply. I have an affiliate website, would I need any legal info on it? If so where would I get it?

Okay, I don't want anyone to think I'm spamming, but I currently (well, I posted the article like 2 weeks ago) have an article about this on my blog, that outlines when and why you need a privacy policy.

Basically, you need a privacy policy any time you are collecting info from your visitors. This includes contextual ads.

You need a TOS if you are providing a service or a product. This can get tricky, but if someone can sue you over misrepesenting something (like, if you were doing a legal advice blog), you would want a TOS. It pretty much says that your visitors agree to certain rules before using the service or product.

Hope that helps!
