Question Good Revenue possible with Paid Posting Forum?

Hello,
I'm looking to start a paid posting forum dedicated only for my country fellows. I'm also expecting a good amount of traffic + users for the website as I had in my other website. But my actual question is that how can I make revenue with paid posting forum? I would like ideas other than Google ads and advertisement. Please guys, keep your ideas flow here because I'm stucked in thinking revenue thing.

Some forums have a premium membership usergroup that costs a few to obtain. If you can offer your members stuff that normal members don't have access to, you could make a few bucks doing this.

If you want an example of a forum with a paid membership group then check out this forum http://forums.digitalpoint.com/payments.php

Paid forum posting i don't like because people will cheat and create multiple accounts to double there money besides other sneaky ways.

If your forum is very active then try charging a fee if people want a thread of there's stickied or to promote there website on your forum.

My story:

Almost a year ago I was impressed by some competitor's forums which was a paid to post one. He had so many users and there where active discussions and everything was looking so bright tha tI've decided to start a paid to post forum.

Boy that was wrong.

My forum imdediately was filled with people that barely new how to speak english that posted useless stuff like "Interesting post thank you........................................... thnks" or posted countless jokes and videos just to increase post count and get payments. at that moment I was paying 2-4 cents per post. The revenue from ads increased for a while but after few months climbed back as advertisers seen the forum as low qulity one.

Also my moderators where sick to delete all the spam. Eventually I've decided to stop.

Now I dont say that my horrible experience should make you stop but learn from it. Make sure you have a good business plan and you will afford to pay members for posting. Otherwise if you dont pay you will be labeled as SCAM and people will avoid posting there.
