Advice for a social media newbie

I've never really used social media. Now that I have a website, and would like the support of social media, I'm finding myself a little lost. I have a Facebook, G+ and Twitter page. I've mostly been using them to post website updates. I'm not really sure how draw traffic to the page itself. I have follow buttons on the website itself, but that's about it.

Do you use proper hashtag while you share your post on G+, facebook, twitter. If not then share your post with proper hashtag. And try to increase follower. I hope you will get good result

Do you have any suggestions for the kind of posts I should post on social media? My website is more of a web application, so snippets of blog posts wouldn't be applicable. Since the website features surveys (with a twist), I've been posting to advertise new surveys, but they come in slowly, since the website is still new.

I would link to the website, since it's applicable, but apparently I need more posts.

Finding interesting and relevant posts is difficult I find. There's a thin line also between bombarding your page with post after post and posting nothing at all. I still haven't found the magic formula!

You should share attractive images which can explain the whole story itself .
