My laptop screen has gone white

I dont know what happened can someone help me ?
Yesterday i pressed the start button of my laptop and the screen was all white and a beep sound was coming from within it , i got shocked and i immediately pulled the plug of its chargers out and closed the lid down.

When it beeped, how many beeps in a row before it started its next round of beeps.

What laptop do you have. You know make and model number so we know what we are dealing with.

I don't want to jump the gun and say replace this or replace that without knowing the machine you have.

Guess's off the top of my head would be, HDD crashed, system board maybe bad.... To much dust inside the laptop causing these problems. Lot's of stuff we could mention but please give us more details.

I agree with the above member.

Your laptop has deeper issues and chances are you won't be able to fix this yourself.

Your system board (motherboard) is either bad, VGA bad or could be something else. It's best to bring to a computer repair shop that specialize in this because they have stuff to be able to run a full test on your laptop and will let you know all your options when it comes to fixing it. ( what is exactly wrong, prices on a part, how much you willing to spend to fix it...etc)

If you need parts, there are cheap parts out there a shop could get but they usually don't want there customers to go this route as they don't want to see your laptop again in there shop..

Tell the repair shop to remove your hard drive and back it up for you so you won't loose any data if something should go wrong.

Try doing a hard reset. So unplug the battery and re-start. If not, your hard drive may be fried. Happened to my old HP laptop twice a few years ago

It may be because of the RAM problem.
Or you might have been hit something on your screen.
Donot put screen cleaner directly, use it with cloth. If you spray it directly, sometimes the screen goes white.

If you just purchased a laptop you may want to take it back to the store and exchange of for a new one. Or perhaps call the manufacturer and tell them what's wrong and depending on how they plan to troubleshoot it, they may ask you for permission to access your laptop by downloading a small tool from the Internet that will allow the remote access to diagnose the issue. Is the laptop still blank white or are you able to access the web right now?
