Bing (formerly Live Search, Windows Live Search, and MSN Search) is a web search engine (advertised as a "decision engine"), Microsoft's current incarnation of its search technology. Unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on May 28, 2009 at the All Things Digital conference in San Diego, Bing is a replacement for Live Search. It went fully online on June 3, 2009, with a preview version released on June 1, 2009. In its first few weeks Bing was successful in gaining some market share.

You can also check "Bing & Decide" to discover more about Bang, I mean... Bing. lol

To go on about the similarity to Google's interface, here is an article with interesting heatmaps that actually show a difference (but also a lot of similarities).

http://www.usercentric.com/news/2009...gle-first-look

Quote:
#Sponsored links on the right attracted more attention on Bing (~42% of participants per search) than they did on Google (~25% of participants per search). The participants who fixated on these links spent approximately 2.5 seconds looking at the area during transactional searches and 2 seconds during informational searches. These times were similar for the two search engines.

Are you a SEO expert? or work in SEO at all?

One would expect more quality in a response from somebody with username "SEO Hawk", specially when talking about search engines.

I always find it amusing when people bash all that is Microsoft...
For a company that apparently is "SH*T", they sure as hell seem to have a load of cash...

The people who claim Bing, Live, MSN, Yahoo, or even Google is crap are always the ones who do not rank well in that particular engine.

Bing looks alot cleaner and lest cluttered than the interface that belongs to Google and Yahoo.

Bing is apparently getting pretty popular. I see commercials for it on TV!

Ladies and gentlemen can we pay a little attention to the language we are using. Profanity is unnecessary, the English language has over one million words for you to choose from, let us be a little more imaginative and less coarse, (crude or unrefined in taste, manners, or language).

SEOs should have the ability to choose their words more carefully when desired.
