Question Google Drive Video Embed with Auto Play?

Hi there,

I have an MP4 video that I want to add to my website, but I need to store it elsewhere. And I need it to autoplay when the web page loads.

I don't want to use youtube, as it loads more videos after mine plays.

I have it added to my Google Drive, and it embeds just fine. I "Googled" "how to autoplay Google Drive video" and found a forum post that suggested adding preview?start=1 to the end of the video URL. Other people replied that it worked for them, but it has not worked for me!

My whole embed code is <p><iframe src="https://drive.google.com/a/laminerals.com/file/d/0BzsOL9rKtbIqSTY1QzJ2VVFoWVU/preview?start=1" width="750" height="480"></iframe></p>

Does anyone on here have any advice? Other hosted options with autoplay feature?

Thanks,
Lorraine

I suggest you use youtube !
I use this code <iframe width="843" height="474" src="h t t p s :// w w w .youtube.com/****" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> to embed video to my website, its only play my video, no play other video after my video.

Hi Lori,

I also wanted to embed a video in Google Drive, found the same advice as you and couldn't make it work. Finally, through some random experimentation, I found that if instead of "?start=1" I ended the src with "?autoplay=1" then it worked! Google must have changed it to be more in line with YouTube, but it would be nice if they gave you an option when embedding!
