Some third party app that has direct connection to the internet can do as an alternative browser especially if they're already installed in your PC. Say Media player has it's online media feature or Itunes, etc.

Yeah I don't think it's possible to browse without a browser. But maybe try a proxy.

To be more precise, browser is the ultimate layer (7th) in the model of networking, whose task is to convert data recieved from network to user viewable form. If this is missing, i dont think there is any common way to interpret the data recieved

But again - if they're blocking outgoing port 80, you can't communicate with websites. And there's nothing you can do on your computer to change that. It's as if the phone company turned off your account. It doesn't matter what kind of phone you plug into the jack - it won't work.

This worked for me, didn't know that this was possible. Thanks!

If you use the internet for good intention, for example for study, then talk to your admin you need internet access. It's better than trying to steal access for personal use

Hi,
Try windows explorer (win. button + E). Type link instead of folder links. This method can help to open browser even if it is closed by Admin.

your is not correct as in simple sense
What is a browser? (here I am talking about internet browser)
A browser is a software program by which you browse the internet. So if you have even made your own program to browse the internet then that program will be called a browser.

In this sense whatever is used to browse is a browser.
So how can you browse without Browser

I have no idea if it would work, but you could try a network bridge to manipulate the protocols. Disconnect the internet connection before making the network bridge. (High light 2 active adapters, click properties and bridge) I used to do this long ago to make a wireless connection for an xbox with no wireless adapter. Bridging the adapters allowed a connection to the internet. After making bridge enable your internet again.Worth a shot.

Internet browsing definitely requires a browser. But as far as I know, one can download stuffs from the net using the console. Maybe it will also work for surfing the net.
