Anchor Text Or URL Link

Hi Guys

What is best, having a URL within keyword anchor text, or simply just the url itself from forums/blogs/articles?

I have read that google are now looking for links that are more natural, not keyword heavy anchor text links...

Reading is one thing, but reality can be another!

Still looking for a clinical answer....

Anchor text with URL in it is a good way to create back-links but don't use exact match keywords or high competition target keywords as an anchor texts for creating links, otherwise Google will punish you under penguin penalty. try to use different-differnet keywords as an anchor text

Anchor text is the text which contains some link on it. your anchor text can be anything from your main keyword, to phrase to a simple word.

Anchor Text was the great way but after the penguin update you have to be careful while linking with anchor text. You can take alternate anchor texts like "Click Here, More Info, Click to Know More, etc" to look natural.

contextual links are always better option then anchor text links.

I think that anchor text is still better than url link. however, anchor text needs to put on quality websites to get best effective.

When you have a look at link profiles of top-ranking websites and web pages, even in competitive fields, you will find a variety of anchors used for the incoming links, and this diversity helps make a better, more natural formula. Although using the targeted keywords as anchors seems like the ideal solution, overdoing it will cause problems with rankings. So using the actual URLs of the linked pages and even some general phrases like "click here" won't hurt, to build a more natural atmosphere.

For now I think diversity is key - mixing up anchor text, using url on some, and even "click here"

But for the future, I think what's going to matter more is what is NEAR the link. I thought this should be called "contextual links" but it's not. I'm not sure what it's called, but I firmly believe it will become more important in the near future.

Google already takes this into consideration. If you are building links yourself the best thing to do is look at sites that are already successful and build natural backlinks and see what their backlink profile looks like. From my experience most sites don't have alot of anchor text used. For example if I was going to link to V7N I would probably just put "V7N.com" or the anchor text "V7N". Matching Anchor text is good but you should use it way less than a normal URL or you are asking to get penalized.

Anchor text with URL is good to create back-links but don't link same keywords every time, keep shuffle in your keywords and use long tail keywords in comparison of short or high competitive keywords.
