I use custom channels on different sites. Unless you want to track performance by pages or sections, I see no value in having them for a single site.

The ads should be immediate but may not be a perfect match for your content the first few days hours.

When I used more than one they took different shapes so I always had more than one. I'm not sure if the same code snippet can be used twice on the same page or not. I think it can. You can test this with a simple html page on your personal computer; just be very careful not to click on the ad.

I do now that the better paying ads come on the first code snippet and the more you have the lower the click value.

Ok, so you do not suggest me to have the custom channel, as i have only one website and i confirmed, that i cannot have some code snippet of adunit twice on the same page.

In your case you might want 2 channels, ad1 and ad 2. I know for a fact that that they can appear on the same page. I once had the maximum of 3 ad units on the same page.
