SEO has never changed, and by that I mean the main factors like great content, great website, and good promotion. If you focus on these you won't need to learn 2018 trends.

Great information. I feel featured snippets and mobile first index will play an important role.

You should consider voice search if you are into local SEO. I have seen spike in traffic from voice search. Specially for my local business.

I wouldn't worry about spammers in forums anymore then we have the last few years. I think you'll see more and more spammers on social media sites.

As far as SEO goes, yes it's been going mobile for a while, I start off trying to get a site completely happy in Google Webmaster Tools before anything else. After that as always, content and social interaction will be top of the charts.
