'Scoop it' is useful and many don't mention it. I get a reasonable amount of traffic from it.

Not to forget Pinterest. One of the biggest networks out there & one of the biggest drivers of traffic as well. Of course, to leverage it, your content has to be image rich.

There are many social bookmarking sites but most of the are nofollow like they don't pass any link juice. Some of the popular site are digg, reddit, diigo, plurk, folked etc.

What is the obsession with link juice? Social bookmarking sites drive traffic if you post decent content, pics etc, you shouldn't be using them for links!

This is a very open ended question. It depends on where your target audience likes to visit.

All the typical answers you will get from this kind of question are just that, typical answers without any thought about what site(s) will work best for your business or blog.

Until you come back and give us more information about the theme (not the name) of the site you wish to do this bookmarking for, the answers you are going to get in this thread will be generic and of no use.

Not many people I follow on Twitter mention ScoopIt anymore. I thought it had died.

Not in my Niche.... Nothing like a generic dis.

Besides, twitter is pretty useless now too...dependant on your niche of course.

I see that no one mentioned 'Flipboard'.

I also get good traffic from it. Make sure you follow people in your niche and regular post on it.
I have almost 1000 followers and I get 70+ in a day.

Not off to a good start:

Sorry! You are using a browser or version that is not compatible with Flipboard. To view this content, please upgrade to one of the supported browsers listed in our FAQ, or download our mobile app.
Besides the lack of multi browser support...

What demographic hangs out here? (for those who would be interested in trying it out)

Wouldn't Pinterest be counted within the social media category instead of social bookmarking?

According to me, Reddit is the best website for social bookmarking as the domain authority of the website is 99.

Search Google for social sites. This thread is not going well, people posting for the sake of it.
