Visit the site www.w3schools.com, it will teach you all about PHP basic topics and advance. And not just PHP, all about web programming are included in that site.

I didn't know there was an offline version of W3Schools. Thanks for that. Is there a difference between that and the online version?

I agree that the w3schools is a great place to learn php, but if you don't know html and css I would advice you to learn that first, at least html.

Youtube is also a great place for training if you like to learn by video, the users phpacademy and thenewboston has some great tutorials.

(Where do I find that offline version of w3schools?)

If you still need it, here's the link that I downloaded it from: http://ibrahimjabbari.com/component/...-download.html

It's just a large .zip archive with the whole website inside, it's not software like I thought it might be. Shame but works just as well.

w3schools is the best free resource and is 100% badass.

Also, YouTube has a ton of code tutorials.

Finally, if you have windows 8, get the "learn programming" app; tons of videos in a variety of languages.

Whatever you do; just do it.

Thanks, I also thought it was some kind of software, well it could still be useful for instances where I'm offline.

To be honest, that whole site looks questionable, it lists other "good websites" whilst degrading one of the most recognised learning sites around, which makes it just look like a shoddy attempt at an affiliate website.

HTML5 and CSS3 also matter little to the topic at hand: Learning PHP. This looks like a drive-by slander attempt. (Spam?)

Yeah, my thinking exactly. Another cheap and tacky way to try and harm the competitors. Request for removal?

After reviewing his post history, I don't think it was spam anymore. Just a dude saying what he feels.

That site isn't very secure.

I just emailed their webmaster a remote shell code exec vulnerability in their PHP demo script.

I'd recommend going to Youtube and checking out thenewboston. It's a channel hosted by a guy called Bucky, filled with video tutorials on all tech, science and more. Also check out his site, thenewboston . com

Best of luck and good choice with PHP

Your best bet is to follow a tutorial and learn using Dreamweaver. It really helps you out with its vast compatibility. It also finishes some tags for you. I'm sure this is nothing new but following through a whole tutorial will expand your knowledge greatly.
