Both have positives and negatives...

Facebook allows for a more comprehensive setup, more info ---- yet its more difficult and labor intensive.

Twitter requires little to no setup but is limited on characters...

Both are powerful new ways of marketing, however, and both options should be considered based on the time+resources available.

The big problem is how we can get content interested by others and follow me?

Smith.John, are you talking about twitter or facebook? I feel facebook is better because it has lots of good features such as creating your own pages, discussions, blogs. You can have a option to like certain comments etc. These all makes facebook more interesting as compare to twitter.

It really depends where your customers or readers hang out.

It's different for every single website. Don't take a scatter gun approach.

Choose wisely.

Facebook is much more powerful, whether offline or online for marketing. Twitter is good for some offline, however twitter traffic is proven to be extremely low converting for offers.

I use the Facebook for a more detailed focus of product. twitter is where I go to hear all of the buzz. but I have seen the uses of advanced twitter search for targeting specific niches as well.

But once you get above a certain number of followers and friends, it all starts to scroll through leaving you bleary eyed...

I think there is very slight difference between them. Both of them are the best social networking sites having more than 100 million users. As far as marketing is concerned I will give the priority to Twitter.

For me, it depends. Generally though, Facebook is better for B2C, whereas I get better B2B results out of Twitter.

You're right, but I think some business get way too obsessed with Twitter and Facebook, at the expense of other online / offline marketing methods.

They spend hours on it without getting any real results or generating new business.

Both can be use in marketing but the main thing which is really important is to have massive followers and friends on your account. In twitter it's easy to add followers compare to facebook.
