I don't think so word count will matter. Your title and content must informative and user friendly. Instead of paragraph use proper heading and sub headings so people easily understand the summary of your post.

It depends on your article length. Writing short 500-1000 words blog post needs 2-3 hours for me. But I think long detailed articles perform well on search engine ranking. So you should write lengthy post. Writing long detail article needs time. I think 8-10 quality hours need at least to create a lengthy post.

Great article need time to write. About 4 hours should be enough.
One hour for research and coming with article ideas
two hours for writing the article
then one hour for corrections.

Very good question, this goes always around my mind. I spent 3-4 hours a day to write a quality blog post, but I save it to draft before I publish. In the night from my phone I check the post from the visitor eye's. Tomorrow I edit for about 2-3 other hours more things and then I finally publish it.

It depends on the length and how technical i want to be. Generally, including research and proofreading, it takes me about 1 to 2 hours. If you are spending more time than that, you have to consider outsourcing it to someone else.

It depend on users experience.

I also believe that its about how long you want the article to last that will lead to the how the article to be written

Especially blog article between 1000 - 1500 word involve deep research for audience understanding., and that can take hours since it contain full details.

I take an hour to complete my 500 words article. When it comes to quality, I spend hours and hours on that. But Remember, If you use headings and sub headings in your article. It will be easy for your viewer and as well to you because When it comes to headings, We write easily after the headings.

It depends. Depending on the amount of research efforts and the depth of information you deliver. Most of all it directly depends on the depth of knowledge you have in particular topic. For me, it should take less than 3 hours to write a wonderful blog that inspire marketers but I may take days to cover a topic in human resources or finance.

Good Luck!

I take 3-4 hours to complete a blog post. I choose the helpful topic for my targeted audience, do keyword and information research. I would always like to write in-depth posts with enough details, so that we can add relevant LSI keywords in the post which would be of SEO friendly.

It also depends on the length on the article. A well researched article may take up to a minimum of 1-2 days.

It take me about one day. I'm not used to writing a post although I had good ideas. It's difficult to arrange them in logical sequence.

I choose familiar topics to write and make a research on them to present with the trendy data. I also focus on on-page SEO and hence it would take 4-5 hours for me to complete a blog post

Lightbulb It Depends on what you are writing

hi,
How long it may take to write an article is depends on, how deep knowledge you have about the subject.
if you are expert in that topic, than you can write 700-800 word article in one to two hour. otherwise it may take days.

Hubspot never told that your blog post should have a limited number of words. The blog post should be research based on your buyer persona. Analyzing user prospective, their requirements, Problems, solutions. Then write on them giving them correct information, solutions whether you complete them in shorts number of words or 2000 number of words and more. Always maintain the quality in the content so that you can engaged the potential costumer and attract the quality traffic.

I'm happy to hear it takes other bloggers significant time to write quality blogs. I save old newspaper and magazine articles, referencing them later for info to write about. And I carry my camera around, ready to take pictures of interesting events. I prefer my camera to my phone because the camera still takes better pics compared to my iphone 5 and the file sizes are much smaller and easier to work with.

doesn't matter how long. write it until it's done.

5 page article might take a few hours. 5 paragraph article a few moments.

doesn't matter...it's done when you say it's done.
