Ransomeware attacks across the globe

The NHS in the UK has been targeted among 70+ other world wide institutions/businesses. Bitcoin and other crypto currencies value plummets.

Ya - heard it was attacking Windows machines. Apparently MS knew about it and released an update on March 14th re this vulnerability.

The update was only available for Windows versions which receive security updates.

Up to 90 per cent of NHS computers still run Windows XP, hence most of their PC's would not have received the update.

I think that targeting the NHS, directly or indirectly, is disgusting and low.

Agreed. The NHS is a role model for healthcare services. All countries should have a system like it. Wonder why someone would want to bring it down.

Download Patch from microsoft websites.
Microsoft recently released patch for older versions of Windows 7. Download those patches and install.
if possible Upgrade to Windows 10
