Monetizing a photo gallery?

Any suggestions?

One of my sites hosts a bunch of different graphics and photos from various sources around the web and receives a great deal of StumbleUpon traffic (to me!) at around 1k per day.

I have zero ads up right now and am trying to think of good ways to monetize.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

If your site has lots of photos, you should probably look into In-Image advertising - such as Image Space Media, GumGum, etc. Of course, other traditional banner ads if you'd like.

Google Adsense can makes good money for you but if your website only has images without text, its very probable that public ads to be shown in your website and it can't make money for you. If you have text on it, i suggest to use Google Adsense. But if you don't have content on your website, you should choose another advertising networks like Bidvertiser, Adbrite, Clicksor.

The theme of those images? If there are some hot babes then you can try to put some dating ads there

You can sell the banner ads on your header and sidebars.

The problem for ads with a heavy image site is there is usually little content for the ad server to read. One can with a good bit of work add some readable content in the photo captions, with the page title, and this is just an opinion the alt attribute helps also.

Any of those is a lot of work when you are reworking something that is already posted without those things.

If the OP's site has photos? Did you read the thread creators initial post? Got any real suggestions that have not been mentioned already?

Try pixWISE In-Image Advertising. 80% payout to website owners, and you can serve your own ads (Google Adsense etc.) if pixWISE can't deliver ads to your images.

The simple easy way for me would be Adsesne. But I don't think it will make you to much money.
Any way it seems that you have some traffic and photos on your site. Why not trying to make a membership for ... see the latest photos for 1$.
Or this has been voted the best photo: for 1$ you can see them / download them.

Like someone else said, it really depends on the niche that the graphics are in. I would make sure the site also had text and use Adsense, but niche specific ads might work out too.
