Ahaaaa! One of the 3 missing books, which were ordered almost three weeks ago has arrived. Not at my residence - but rather at the drop-off location 25km away.

Now only 2 are MIA. Hopefully I won't have to make two more trips after this one today to pick the last two missing items on separate days. I could wait, and hope they arrive just to make one more trip, but with Xmas so close, well....

What I did would depend on the weather forecast. Assuming mail is 6 days a week I would surely wait until Saturday.

But, then, you are probably more set up for driving in snow than me.

We're getting a light dusting of snow late on Sunday, into Monday. And if you believe the semi-long range forecast, 5cm of the white stuff on New Years day. Good reason to stay in, turn on the fireplace and watch some movies.

I wondered if you would make in today since you have company.

5cm is not so much where people know how to handle it. The problem here is that they don't.

If it covers the grass and stays off the roads that's all the white Christmas I ever need.

Gotta check in with the other forum, so I normally check in with this one too.

5 cm isn't much. And normally, it's no problem driving. Where it becomes a problem is when it's the first accumulative snowfall in some time. People forget how to drive in it.

I couldn't agree more. The decades of cold weather is taking it's toll.

Day behind on getting ready for Xmas. Wind storm Thurs blew out power at the mall and.... it was dangerous to be outside.

I know you said you had things going on but I thought you were just blowing smoke and had it all ready to go.

Unless the pens run out of ink we should be ready.

Relatives gone. Time to catch up on sleep. Start packing in a week. Off to hopefully warmer temperatures.

Yes, but probably access twice per day to check in on any cataclysmic client issues. We all know how catastrophic things will get with clients when you schedule some down-time. ')

Bahahahha! If I do post from down there, it may be only now and then, but for sure the adult beverages may preclude me from making much sense.

(I know, I know - I don't make much sense now right?

I know, right? Well, there's something to be said about being at a higher-elevation: slightly longer days, the golf balls travel further, and there's slightly less oxygen.

The latter point above, when mixed with ample imbibing, could produce some unpredictable outcomes. .

Weather update: It's raining and whatever snow we had, is gone. Had a dusting of snow Xmas eve (nice for the little ones), but no accumulation of snow in the forecast until at least next weekend. Looks like some potential snow events after I head south.

Timing is everything.

We long since broken the all time recorded rainfall record for the year and heavy rain moving in soon.

Trying to do outside work this year was a real problem.

Must be why I was forced to open that bag of Christmas M & M's. Kinda boring color collection but still tasty.

Got a new cell plan with a Galaxy S9 today while the "Boxing week" special is still on. Phone is great and the plan gives me a ton more features and is less month less than the current Bell plan.
