Want to write same content in different language.

Hi Friends, I have an English blog & I'm getting good traffic on that. Now I'm planning to make another blog for different language on subdomain. And want to write same content on that. So my question is: if i write same content different language eg. hindi. Then will it affect my English site SEO. will it good or bad for SEO?

I would say do not do this. Why not have a translator button on your blog for the visitor to select any language?

Read the blog post below.

Quote:
When I started Wonderful Wanderings over three years ago, I decided to blog in English. I had considered blogging in Dutch, my native language, but figured that I’d be able to reach a bigger audience when blogging in English.

As time passed, several people I knew told me they sometimes checked my blog, but found it a hurdle that they needed to read it in English. I reasoned that if friends and family felt like this, strangers definitely wouldn’t make the effort to read it if the language bothered them.

On top of that, my blog had gone from a fun hobby to a proper side business in two years time and my strategy evolved.

I blogged a lot about European destinations and my home country Belgium, but my Belgian and Dutch audiences were rather small in comparison to other audiences.

Last year, I decided to translate Wonderful Wanderings into Dutch and to blog in two languages from then on..

Dear Pramod,
You have two options
1: Integrate translate tool in your existing English blog. Google will automatically understand that this is the translated version of English text while crawling Hindi text.

2: Create Hindi blog in separate domain or sub domain and insert below code to HTML <head> section of English site.

<link rel="alternate" hreflang="hi" href="http://hi.example.com/" />

I think Thejewelhut (Shay) has given correct suggestion to me. I have an English blog (www.example.com), So i can put the hreflang tag
<link rel="alternate" hreflang="hi" href="http://hi.example.com/" />
on my English blog header.
More information I found from here:
Quote:
HTML link element in header. In the HTML <head> section of http://www.example.com/, add a link element pointing to the Spanish version of that webpage at http://es.example.com/, like this:
<link rel="alternate" hreflang="es" href="http://es.example.com/" />

But Thanks to all friends for your great support.
