We don't have Amazon Prime here in the Philippines yet so my vote would go to Netflix. We do have iFlix and it also has an awesome line-up of shows, including a lot of great TV shows from all over Asia.

Isn't amazon prime something you can use for other than video content? That's mostly why I would give it the leg up because you get multiple benefits from it. Plus the Grand Tour

I think you have asked something very different (i may be wrong) but i think you should ask this question with a little change something like "vimeo and dailymotion. which one is better to replace youtube?

As your alternative choices are not relatively correct amazon prime or netflix both can never be able to replace Youtube because you can see amazon prime or netflix's content on Youtube but you can't find Youtube's content on this sites as well as they both are paid platform whereas Youtube is Free.

In the US there's a pretty big difference in content between the two. I have both right now but I rarely ever use Amazon. The biggest detractor to Amazon for me is that I can't stream to chromecast. (I have a chromecast on the TV in the living room and the bedroom.) I'm also not as big of a fan of Amazon's content. Netflix has definitely reduced its online content but they are doing a good job producing their own content.

In regards to the opening thread, as a subscription based model I have only used Netflix for the past 5 years. I like Netflix for many reasons. I like the price point of only $8.63 per month. It has a good library of movies that I and my wife enjoy, especially the Marvel Superhero original content shows. Another reason I like Netflix is that I have had no issues with buffering on any of my devices like my PS4, PC or cell phone.

In my opinion Amazon Prime is better if you frequently purchase from Amazon. Netflix do have some exclusive contents though.

Its a personal choice but I would go with Amazon prime. Netflix doesn't seem to add enough new movies that I'm interested in. I also hate how you click on a title and it just starts playing.. You then only get a few seconds to read what it's about before the screen fades and the movie has started. So annoying. Amazon Prime also gives you the added benefit of free shipping, which is always good

I have Netflix and that is enough for me; I don't need both. The time available to me for watching TV is very limited.

Netflix Canada offers a lot less than Netflix US, but it still has enough to keep me watching for a long time. I have added several movies, documentaries, TV shows, foreign films, etc. to my list. Not sure if I will get through them in a reasonable amount of time.

There are still many shows I miss, a few of which are puzzling. For example, of the last three hobbit movies, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is not found on Netflix Canada, but the other two are: "The Desolation of Smaug" and "The Battle of the Five Armies." Not sure why.

There are also many old TV shows I wish were available, Black Sails, Veep, Silicon Valley, etc.

We have both and hulu and I watch netflix most out of those 3.
