tld's ??

Hello,

what do you think of using .co or .io domains for websites?

for web hosting companies? computer repair companies? web design companies?
this is presuming .com .net domains have gone!

what are you thoughts?

.io domains have content restrictions, so be careful depending on what type of service you are thinking of running on it.

>> Per registry regulations, no .io domain may be used, directly or indirectly, for any purpose that is sexual or pornographic or that is against the statutory laws of any nation. In the event that NIC.IO learns that a specific site breaches this condition, the registry reserves the right to immediately deactivate the offending registration.

Boring answer but with my experience:

1. .com
2. .net

Avoid the others , but again , that is just my opinion......

I agree with others to stick with .com and .net ... but, at some point in the future, people WILL become accustomed to other tlds - so you might want to buy some good ones and sit on them.

A lot of my websites are music related, so I am considering buying some alt tld domains, like .rocks .band etc. I've never considered .io or .co tho - they hold no appeal for me.
