How Do I Improve My Domain Authority (DA)?

Right from Dr. Pete
Quote:
The Short Version: Don't obsess over Domain Authority (DA) for its own sake. Domain Authority shines at comparing your overall authority (your aggregate link equity, for the most part) to other sites and determining where you can compete. Attract real links that drive traffic, and you'll improve both your Domain Authority and your rankings.

You must perform some high-quality tasks and get natural backlinks for your website.

1. Guest posts on related websites.
2. Build links with Infographics.
3. Broken links method.
4. Blog commenting.
5. Skyscraper Technique.
6. Niche Forums.
7. Email Outreach to influentials.

Simply get a whole lot of contextual links using GSA and that will gradually increase your PA/DA to 40+ easily.

But if it's actual authority without using automated software, then pure white hat method in getting links.

But if it's grey hat area, meaning using blackhat but still legitly increase your DA, then you should buy a domain with higher DA and 301 it to your target website, and when a good amount of these 301 links are linking back, your DA will increase as well.

I'd be curious to know what percentage of internet users participate by using the Moz toolbar vs those that don't.

Yet, they help in ranking. There's no such thing as White level seo, so we have to survive anyway. Be it that way!

I think DA matters but not as same as domain age. People who have been blogging for more than 5 years have owned a very powerful domain with a good domain rating.

let's take an example of mine...

when I started I was on http://example1..com... After 2 years later I migrated from http://example1..com to http://example2..com. (proper 301 redirections)

And then I moved http://example2..com to https://example2..com (HTTP to https with proper 301 redirections).

3 years have been passed, the DA of the current domain (https://example..com) is 14 and DA of my oldest domain is 24 with a good link profile.

If I weren't change redirected my domain then the DA of my oldest domain would be over 35.
Google haven't passed the link juice and authority yet. hahaha so funny.

Now I am at the point where I started.

I think HTTP to https redirection killed me.

However, Google says that 301 redirections won't impact rankings anymore.
