Nice time of year to mention these cooling solutions. Last summer they brought me 11 pc/laptops in only two days time. The 2 hottests days of the summer. So as I see many users don't pay attention on heat.

Now as for that article, I find that HeatShift from ThermaPAK looks very promising. It says that the surface can absorve heat! That looks pretty cool. But without testing I can't be very sure of the results. Usually I trust more cooling solutions with fans installed on them. Especially the silents ones with most airflow numbers.

So lets not forget that a hot summer can be bad for your computer. Also think twice after starting a defrag, cleanup or an antivirus scan on the hottest days of the summer. Keep Cool!

Great topic to bring up. I got frustrated with my sister-n-law for using the desktop in our tiny utility room, always with the door closed. The previous desktop went kaput cos the fan in it stopped working. She refused to listen and continued to do the same with our new PC. If this new one goes, there's not going to be a new one!

Hey thanks Snakey. These are more than awesome things, rather I already one but was not quite happy with it. Now I am planning for "Thermapak HeatShift". A cutie with good portability with no power consumption that's all I need.

I was considering buying one of those platforms with the dual fans, but never got around to it since I got a desktop instead and now barely use my laptop (pretty much just to test things or backup).

The stands are fine as they provide the ability for the air to circulate, but that pink matt is awful!

Excellent stuff for cooling laptops and to tell the truth that's the thing I've never been thinking about. It's summer now and it would be nice to use these cooling pads.
