it's crazy you post this because I just started one yesterday. Although it's a very rough draft, all I have written down are the 7 days of the week and what to do for each day, but it's a start I guess

Depends on the personality type though. All my friends who are engineering types are very methodical about how they work. It's natural for them to build a process around everything. For the rest of use, it's hard to stick to a methodology, but it is necessary.

Good share snakair,

I maintain an editorial calendar for both blogging as well as social media posts. It is definitely a must so that you can prepare quality content. It is much more difficult to produce a piece on short notice and have in it all the citations, links and custom images that are required to make the post truly a good one.
Also, front loading tasks like reaching out to other bloggers or professionals for pieces that require Q and A or input in general is also very helpful. Once we plan out editorial calendar, I take note of any people that I have to reach out to, questions to be posted on forums to get information or research that will take time to complete in order to have a post ready for its publication date. I think if people plan on doing this professionally, a calendar is a must.

Best,

Shawn
