How to calculate the right ad rate in my website?

I have a website that drives about 12, 000 traffic per month and I want to sell ads, but I don't know how to calculate the correct rate to offer the advertisers. Can you please help me?

I cannot provide you with a specific calculation but have you looked at your target audience’s business model? For instance how much money are they making if one visitor clicks on their ad from your site to theirs? Once you determine that (and assuming you can provide services like reporting), you can come up with a price point. So for instance if one sale from the click of an add is worth 500 dollars in profit to them, take their industry standard conversion rate and see how many clicks it would take for them to make a sale. That should give you some idea about what to charge them.

Maybe you can find more ideas here,

Were you considering selling B2B or Google paid ads? There are two ways of looking at that and you can do both actually on the same site. Either way, 12k visitors a month is a pretty good selling point. good luck.

It's true,

How much traffic you can drive to your advertiser add and get them giving business. As much you get more business to your advertiser that much you can charge or take some percantage amount of sell. Thanks
