I cant tell you how to do it in invision board but since this site is phpbb and I am fimular with that i can tell you that the link you describe is pulled from two locations.

First from the site description that is "IMR Webmaster Forums" and then the script adds the words Forum Index on the end. To change it in phpbb its a simple style template change or an edit in the site description.

no, you have to actually modify one of the files manually

for phpBB board you change the 'header.tpl' file, just look around for a 'header' file or something like that. then just add the code in like you normally would.

Well specificly the question was for an invision board. But for those of you whom are refering to the PHPBB boards the line

[code:1:7bf907270f]<td width="100%" class="nav"><a href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a> &raquo; <a href="{U_VIEW_FORUM}">{FORUM_NAME}</a>[/code:1:7bf907270f]

That you can find in both viewforum_body.tpl and viewtopic_body.tpl (its listed twice in each file once toward the top and once toward the bottom).

It basicly takes the following line from the lang_main.php script and inserts it in the html.

[code:1:7bf907270f]$lang['Forum_Index'] = '%s Forum Index'; // eg. sitename Forum Index, %s can be removed if you prefer[/code:1:7bf907270f]

As you can see the code appends the words "Forum Index" on the back end of your sites name. So as in the case with IMR Webmaster Forums Forum Index since the word Forums is in the site name it is listed plus the words Forum Index. Should JS want to drop the second "Forum" then a quick edit of the line I specified above in the lang_main.php file will do the trick.

If invisionboard does not have this feature built in then you might check their site to see if someone has written a mod/hack to incorporate this.

Ok lets not go off and hijack someones thread with some meaningless debate over what forum software is teh best. What ever script you use you use because you like it better than others.

If you want to debate this then go off and start your own thread.

I have learned over the almost two years that I have been working with forum software that people who use specific scripts are very loyal to them and feel very pationate about what scripts are "the best".

Invision isn't as administrator friendly in my opinion, that's why I like PhpBB better.
