The content's word limit varies from each different website in which you are submitting. Try to create content which is unique and not copied from anywhere. the concept of 5 paragraph is totally absurd and untrue.

You must check your content at Copyscape too before submission to get it validated as fully unique.

Don't try to repeat keyword multiple time in one article or blog use it smartly and write content qualitative and unique with your own writing capabilities.

Although there is no limitation of words during writing but must keep one thing in your mind avoid key word stuffing and write qualitative article which lies between 600 to 700 words.

Write depending on the need. If you think you can deliver all the needed information by 300-350 words go for it, if not then its time to go over the limit as long as all the vital information one should know are there.

I think there is no exact word count for ideal SEO text. Good text should be relevant, well-structured (subheadings, lists), contain LSE keywords and image with proper alt tag.

This changes my whole Idea of writing for the web. Should you use the same keyword in each paragraph or can you use different keywords in each of the 5 paragraphs?

Ideal keyword density should be between 1% and 4.5% max. If you have a keyword density of more than 5% then it is keyword stuffing for which Google will penalize you and your rankings will go down.

It is actually proven that the more you write the more likely you'll 'earn' backlinks as well as rank better. With keyword density in mind of course!
