Giving access to SEO guy. Is it safe?

All I am giving is details of my social accounts. My major concern is website admin access.

What thing should I keep as precaution if I had to avoid any displacement of information?

Where possible give them access via their own user accounts so you have control over cutting them off if required. Don't give them access levels to pay your bills or remove you!

Some social accounts allow you to set up managers or you could use something like Hootsuite to provide them controlled access.

For the website, if you cannot grant a limited access account (do not give them your login for any reason!!) then maybe you could just send them the html files?

Tiggerito is right. Give them a bit of access with using their own mail ID. Because through this you have total control on him/her. And whenever you want to get rid of him/her. You can do it easily.

You should never give SEO experts your password information for your accounts. You shouldn't give SEO's access to all parts of your website because some of those parts is not needed in order to do the SEO.

Like mentioned before, setup an additional admin account with access to certain parts of your website. Example is on a forum. You can add people to the admin usergroup and edit that usergroup's permissions so they can not access all admin features. Upset the SEO and he can shut your website down and lock you out.

You should create a separate account for SEO guys and give limited power to that account which is needed for SEO work. Only Onpage optimization work need little bit website access. So, after onpage optimization you should block that account to avoid displacement of information.

The kind of platform you have (CMS) is also important.
When you have Wordpress it is possible to define distinctive roles.
They enable you to fine-tune the access which is being provided to others.

Always it is better to give limited access to seo service providers. Basically if it is social media, you could create limited accounts (in most cases) for seo service provider.

Never give them the email account passwords of main admin accounts that you used for social media.

When it comes to websites; if it is static web site, an ftp account would be more than enough while if it is a cms driven dynaic system, a limited account would do..

You can give them your access buy be sure you have contract with them and before you change them change your password asap.

It is safe as long as you trusted your SEO guy. For sure they will not bring harm to your social media accounts. Also always communicate with them by all means.
