404 Custom Page - Should it be nofollow or dofollow

Hi friends, I have around 180 404 pages, Shoud it be nofollow or dofollow. because all those 180 404 pages are indexed, will google remove in future or they will keep(google) and continue in future.

What should i do now...

You should not be linking to pages that 404 so nofollow is a mute point.

There is no such thing as dofollow. By default all links are followed.

Google is reporting that someone is linking to a page on your website that does not exist. That's what a 404 signals. Google will remember that page forever, but there are things you can do:

Find out why and try and fix it
Click on the reported 404 error then click on "linked from". This will tell you what pages have those broken links to that 404 page. Try and get them fixed so they go to a valid page.

If nothing is reported then the link that sent Google to that 404 has gone meaning it is a very minor issue now.

Redirect to a valid page
404s are often due to typos in a link or a page being removed. If you know of a good alternate page for people to visit then set up a 301 Redirect from the 404ing page to the replacement page. This will help users and search engines get over the problem.

This also changes the 404 into a 301 and will get the error removed from your report.
