It's hard to name 1 category for you. Each web directory has a different category structure if they didn't use a dump to create mass categories.

You should know the niche of your website since you started it and look for similar categories that relate to your niche when you do directory submission.

Why submit to directories that reject if you choose the incorrect category? Are they free?

Any directory worth a damn wouldn't reject listings because of that, after all a directories content is their listings. Submit to directories where the editors get off their backside and place your site appropriately.

On a very quick glance at your site I would place it under lifestyle, but that was on first looks.

I'd do a search on "tattoos" on the web directory first, to see if they have any other tattoo blogs. I think that an Arts category would be the best fit, but not every directory is set up the same so individual directory editors or administrators might have differing ideas on this. You might try writing to the administrators first, especially if you're going to pay for a submission.

In free submissions, I might be able to understand a policy of rejecting anything that isn't submitted to the appropriate category. In paid submissions, it is, in my opinion, unreasonable for someone to reject a site for such a reason, especially when the appropriate category is unclear. I've been doing this for years, and I wouldn't consider rejecting a site for being submitted to a reasonably appropriate category, although I'd move it to the one I considered to be more appropriate.
