It depends on the quality of your page. If your content sucks and it looks like you're whoring your pr4 site out to anyone and everyone who'll pay for a link, then you'll be hard-pressed to find interested buyers.

Ask yourself this question: Is the site worth visiting? Is it worth visiting repeatedly? Does anyone actually visit your site? Be honest with yourself. Has your site been established for awhile, or did you just slap up Wordpress and get yourself a pr4 two weeks ago? If its a "made for Adsense" site or a crap site in general, why would anyone want to purchase a link from it? It might thus take longer to get the fish to bite.

It really depends on a lot of factors.

Julie is very wise

I would agree, theres alot of things to consider but your should atleast explore any oppurtunity thats out there which you think reasonablly may help you. You need to gain experience and learn what and what dosnt work paid & free combined. After afew campaigns ("weeks or months") get rid of the needless marketing & fine-tune what is working to make it better

Spend afew bucks, the experience & response will be worth it. Bottomline.
Cheers!

I'm going to have to disagree with needing to spend money. I hardly spend a dime promoting my site, and I've done quite well with it. I invest time. Time is money though, so maybe I do spend quite a bit of "money" on it. Haha.

Marketing gimmicks are short-lived, IMO.

What type of site is it? What type of competition do you have? How big or niche is the market?

Agreed with ^^ - If you are seeking ppl to place links now - you either have to find the ppl placing links - try link sales in DP - or place a link to someone from your websites niche who already ranks first page- ppl will pull the backlinks ofthose on first page and find your site within these - then they contact you for link sale.

Good luck - PM me the url and i may buy!!! depends on how hard its been whored round the block mind!

Maybe exchanging links with someone that has a similar niche as yours will help. The quality of your page is also important.
