How to Promote using Twitter

I just recently brought to life my Twitter account. How can I exactly use Twitter as a campaign material for my site? Thanks for the help.

If you have nothing to say, don't know how to be helpful or informative to those who follow you nor have a photo or link in your account profile, you're right...it's not useful.

It will be the best if you participate on Twitter for awhile before you begin promoting your stuffs.
First set up Twitterfeed to "feed" your blog posts to your twitter account so that every time you post on your blogs, the post is pushed out to your twitter status.

Distribute your twitter into more twitter directories.Do regular updates with good keywords.

Just be careful with those spam accounts in twitter. You could notice that they have the same picture and there name looks like a computer generate mixed letters.

a good tip that worked for me was to see what 'competitors' were doing: what people they followed, what kind of messages they posted, etc. it helped me to know how to use twitter.

Try to get many follower however you must reply answer consistently. And you can save your time by using a software to reply automatically.

but are you sure Twitter make sense? if you have many followers (and many people follow you) actually no one really cares of the updates and no on clicks,,for example me- as a common user- get mad when refreshing the page all the updates change and it's easy to loose the link you saw and thought it would be interesting
