I have been researching on the same topic and doing some experiments so i opened a handful of fresh social network accounts, presenting me with a golden opportunity, a clean social networking slate, with which to answer the question, which social network is most effective at generating high quality blog traffic?
All of these accounts are empty, with the exception of my Twitter account which has already attracted a little attention from a recent post.
I will begin to promote them all from within their own relative networks. Although each of the accounts will be connected to my website as well at gettargetedvisitors.
How successful that efforts will be is the questions. If it becomes possible then i may be able to get highly targeted traffic to the website. This experient will determine not only that how much worth is my efforts but also that how powerful this networking websites are.
All of this means that in a short space of time the question in the title will have an answer. I will know, albeit from a personal perspective, which social networking site is the most powerful blog traffic generator and which one, if any, is the time waster.
Without wishing to skew the results at this early stage I do have my suspicions about the concept of social networking. I’m one of the few bloggers who held out and stayed away from Twitter for a long time, I have never been anywhere near Facebook and I firmly believe that Myspace is nothing more than a massive data collecting link farm
so lets see how we go...
